David Sherrard, DDS; Dentist

Dr. David J. Sherrard was born and raised in the Illinois Quad Cities, where his father and grandfather practiced dentistry from 1918-88. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1980 with a B.S. in Business. He previously worked for John Deere as a territory rep. in Ohio at the time that he returned to school. Graduating in 1995, Dr. Sherrard moved to Tacoma, Washington at the urging of a longtime friend who is a practicing physician there. Growing up, his parents had always encouraged their children to strike out on their own, and the Pacific Northwest struck Dr. Sherrard as an interesting place to live.

Dr. Sherrard is a “restorer” at heart. His current hobby is the restoration of Honda 750 motorcycles from the 1970s. He also has considerable woodworking and carpentry skills. In his own words, Dr. Sherrard will try almost anything once. He enjoys shooting sports and is a self-described “hack” golfer.
