About The Doctor

Originating from the west side of the country, Dr. Cortes spent part of his childhood in California and then moved to Arizona in his teenage years. Arizona State would be where he studied biochemistry and business, then continued on to be a Hawkeye at University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He had five years of dental assisting experience prior to completing dental school, which is a great asset for our assistants that work along his side at our Bettendorf location. Dr. Cortes feels strongly about the importance of preventive care and education to help patients improve their oral health. He loves spending quality time with his wife, Nancy, and their 4-year-old son, Guillermo Jr.
